A notebook for writing, planning and everything around it.

Use pens, highlighters, text and shapes on blank, lined, dotted, grid or Cornell paper. Select and rearrange your work, change colours and lock objects when the layout is right.

For a class notebook, keep the explanation in text and sketch the diagram beside it. Handwriting recognition is available on supported mobile builds and languages; review the result before replacing your ink.

Import a PDF book, course handout or planner, then highlight, draw and add notes over its pages. The original page content stays separate from your annotations. Supported internal page links help you move through a document.

Try a chapter of your textbook first: mark a passage, add a question in the margin, and reopen an export to check the result. Export a PDF for reading or an editable .stlpd notebook to preserve your notebook objects. PDF exports do not play audio, video or animated GIFs.

Start a planner for the current day, week or month, or choose a designed template. Add pages as your plans grow and combine handwriting with images, stickers and typed reminders.

Use a weekly page for appointments and a separate daily page for a manageable to-do list. A planner is a page you organise yourself; this does not imply automatic calendar integration or reminder notifications.

Record audio or video and keep it on a notebook page alongside your writing. Play it back from the notebook, or import supported media files. Live dictation turns speech into text where the device and language support it.

For a voice journal, record a thought and add a short written reflection beside it. Microphone or camera permission is required for recording. Speech-service support and internet requirements vary by platform; not every recording can be transcribed.

Search for an animated GIF, import an image or build a reusable sticker collection. Crop and resize images and use background-removal tools to make them fit your page. Add supported custom fonts for typed notes.

Build a reading journal with a book image, handwritten impressions and a small animated sticker. Online GIF search needs internet access. Import and export support depends on the media format and device.

Begin with notebooks stored on your device. Connect your own Google Drive when you want backup and syncing across devices, including Web Lite. Follow overall and file progress, and choose which copy to keep when edits conflict.

Keep an independent export of important notebooks. Sync needs internet access and is separate from local editing. Read deletion confirmations: deleting a synced notebook can remove its cloud copy and propagate to other connected devices; Hide is useful when you only want it out of the visible library.

Invite someone to a live notebook session to draw, write and plan on the same page. Session chat and available audio or video calls keep the conversation beside the work.

Work through a practice question with a study partner, or sketch a project plan together. Sessions require a network connection. Share invitation links privately and check the session controls before adding personal information.

Switch between grid and list views, sort notebooks, search available text and keep your preferred layout. Android home-screen widgets can reopen recent notebooks and show Drive sync status.
