A simple guide to pen colours
How to choose a custom colour and pen width
Open the Pen colour row, use the rainbow picker, apply a shade, and find the width controls.
Pick a colour from the row or make your own in the rainbow picker. You can also choose a pen style, set opacity and pick a line width.
Set a Pen colour on Android
Choose a shade, then check the selected swatch

Step 1 of 6 — Open Pen
Real Android Stilopad Light captures from debug build 0.1.71 (72) show the Pen options, expanded palette, Custom colour picker and selected pink swatch after Apply. A test stroke was attempted but no visible stroke resulted, so the guide does not claim a pink mark was drawn. Web Lite, object fill/text colour, saved-mark recolouring and custom-colour persistence remain unverified.

Set a Pen colour on Android
Open Pen
Start on an open notebook page and tap Pen in the bottom toolbar. Its options open above the page.
Review Pen options
The real panel shows pen styles, a colour control, opacity and five width samples. Compare the controls; the next step opens the colour row.
Open the colour row
Expand Colour to see the preset swatches. The rainbow-coloured dot at the end opens Custom colour.
Choose a pale pink shade
Tap a pale pink swatch in the Custom colour grid. The real picker is shown before selection; this guide pointer marks the swatch to choose, not a recorded tap.
Apply the colour
After choosing the shade, tap Apply at the lower right. This guide pointer demonstrates the button; the tap was not recorded separately. The next screen verifies the resulting pink swatch.
Check the chosen colour
After Apply, the Pen palette showed a pink custom swatch selected and opacity remained at 100%. This capture verifies the selected colour state; the sample page does not show a new pink stroke.
The real Pen panel showed five width samples and opacity at 100%. The rainbow control opened Custom colour with shade swatches, a hex field, Cancel and Apply. A custom pink colour was applied and shown selected in the Pen palette; no new stroke was successfully captured afterward.
On Web Lite
On Web Lite
Open a notebook and choose Pen. Use its colour control and width choices; the web toolbar layout can differ from Android.
Choose a palette colour or open the custom colour picker, set the shade and apply it.
Web Lite’s custom colour interaction was inspected in source but not replayed in this batch. Check the selected colour before drawing; do not assume it changed existing marks.
Colour, opacity and width are separate
Colour changes the ink shade. Opacity controls how see-through a mark is. Width changes the stroke size. The captured panel keeps these controls separate so you can check each before drawing.
The custom swatch was selected
A custom pink colour was applied in the real Android picker and is visible as the selected Pen swatch. No pink sample stroke, saved-mark recolouring or Web Lite result is claimed.
If the mark is not the colour you expected
- Check that Pen is selected and the custom swatch has the selection mark before drawing.
- Opacity is separate from colour. If a line looks faint, check opacity and contrast with the paper.
- Existing marks were not recoloured in this test. Web Lite custom colour, widths, per-shape fills and persistence across reopening were not tested here.
